How to Set and Upload Profile Photos

To upload photos to your profile, go to the My Profile home page after signing in.

Scroll down to the area where you can upload new photos.

You may upload as many photos as you want, but only one photo can be associated per league that you are in.

To associate a photo with a league, you click the button next to the league name. If you don't want the photo associated with that league, you click the button.

Join a League

There are a few different types of leagues that you can join, here we overview each kind:
Public Open Leagues

These leagues are open to anyone and are visible on the Leagues Page. Anyone is able to join these leagues.

Public Invite Leagues

These leagues are visible to everyone, and anyone can request to join. You do not become a member of the league until the league administrator approves your reqeuest.

Private Leagues

These leagues are hidden and not visible to all users. The administrator of a private league receives a link that they share with all members who they would like to join the league. Only members accessing the league through this link can join.

Publicly Available Leagues to Join

Creating a League

Everyone has the option of creating their own league as well. The link to create a league can be found on the Leagues page. Or, you could click directly and go to Create a League.

Creating a league is simple and can be done in four easy steps. We'll outline those steps here:

Set a League Name

Choose the name that you want to call your league. Any name is fine. After you choose a name, the rest of the fields will slide into view.

Set the League Enrollment

The League Enrollment option is the option which dictates if your league is Public or Private. And, if it is public, whether you want to have approval over who can join.

Anyone, more the merrier
This is a 100% open public league. Any one who is a member of The Bachelor Bracket can view and join this league. It shows up on the Leagues page.
Invites Only
This is a private league. It will not show up publicly in the leagues page. After creating the league, you will see in the admin panel a sharable link that you can use to invite people to your league. Only people who use that link can join your league.
Anyone, but I'll give approval
This is a public league that shows up in the Leagues page and anyone can click to join. However, after someone clicks to join, you will receive a notification indicating their request. Not until you accept their request to join in the admin panel, will they be a member of the league.

Set the League Type

The League Type is what season of a show you want to use and what round format you want to follow. For each season, we offer two options.

The reccommended option has already prepopulated all the conestants, rounds, and scoring for the league to run. It is also automatically scored as the season progresses by the master bracket. This option is recommended because it is the least amount of work. It's simple.

There is also the custom option. With the custom option everything is set up the same way as recommended, but it is not automatically scored as the season progresses - you do that. You also have the option of adding in custom contestants (perhaps yourself?!) and custom rounds, as well as changing the scoring for each round. The custom league is fun to try out, but just remember that you will be in charge of setting up the master bracket (which is easy and described elsewhere).

Set a League Description

This is a general description for your league. It is used to help other people know more about your league before clicking to join.

All Done, Create It!

After filling in those four easy fields, you are all ready to create your league. Just click the Submit button and you're done.

Have fun!

League Administration

Players who have created a league automatically become the Administrator of the league. This section will cover some of the duties of the League Administrator as well as some of the how-to's.

Duties

Bracket Un/Locking
As a league administrator you are responsible for locking and unlocking your league's bracket. To lock a league bracket means that no player in the league can edit their bracket anymore. You'd want to do this when the season starts. You can unlock the bracket at anytime if you choose.

Bracket Lock/Unlock and Hidden/Unhide Buttons

Bracket Visibility
As a league administrator you can decide if players within a league can see other player's brackets. For example, while all players are still setting up their bracket before the season starts, you may want it hidden, so no player can snoop on another player's bracket. However, once the season starts you may want everyone to be able to see each other's bracket so they can see what they are up against. You can change this back and forth at any time.

Scoring a League

By default your leagues should be automatically scored. Automatic scoring happens in the following scenarios:

  • Recommended League Option: Scoring happens when the master bracket is updated following each episode.
  • Custom League Option: Each time you make a change to the master bracket, the league is automatically scored and updated.

The Button to Score the League

However, there may be a case where a user joins a league late and wasn't included in an automatic scoring situation. For these cases we provide a 'Score Now!' button which will rescore your league.

Player Join Request Approval

Another duty as a league administrator is to approve or reject any join requests to your league.

When a player requests to join your league you will see them show up in your admin panel in the Players section along with a button to either approve their request or deny. They will receive a notification indicating your action once you decide.

Approval Options for Join Request

Note: This only applies for Leagues that are "Anyone, but I'll give my approval".

Note: You can also change your enrollment options at any time.

Other League Administrator Options

Updating General Info
As a league adminstrator you also have the ability to update your league name and description. Once you make changes, click the Update button for them to take effect.

Updating General League Info

Updating a League Image

Each league can have it's own image to identify the league. In the administrator panel you can upload an image to use.

Click the upload button to use the File Chooser to find an image you like and then click Upload Image. Refresh your page to make sure the image uploaded properly.

Adding a League Image

If you want to delete your image, click on the Delete Image button in the bottom left corner.

The Master Bracket

So, what is it?

This is the bracket that is used to score everyone's bracket who is in your league. Brackets in your league are compared round by round against what is showing on the Master Bracket. A player earns points for matching elements.

How do I create it?

For those who are part of a league where the administrator chose the "recommended" option, you as a member and league administrator, do not need to worry about setting up the master bracket. We do that for you.

For the rest of you in the minority, who were bold and went about choosing to manage your own master bracket, you can edit it by clicking on the Master Bracket Link, underneath your Admin Panel link for your league.

The link to edit the Master Bracket is right underneath the Admin Panel Link

From here you edit the bracket just like you would your own personal bracket.

Users who are currently logged in, can see a table of which leagues they are in that follow the Recommended League, and which are Custom Leagues.
