Recreate the Date
A The Bachelor Bracket Original

For everyone who has ever looked at a fantasy date on the show and has wanted to turn that into their own reality, The Bachelor Bracket presents Recreate the Date. Each week we'll figure out a way you can experience some or all of the magic on the show in your own way.

The First Rose

I've always been envious of the person whose job it is to plan dates for The Bachelor / Bachelorette. Imagine what that work week looks like. "Hey Gina, can you scootch over to Portugal? We need to find a five star hotel, a series of gorgeous intimate restaurants, authentic musicians, a breathtaking cove for wind surfing and an adorable native tour guide, (preferably a sweet, weathered older gentleman with enough of an accent that we know hes a local, but not so much of an accent that middle america can't understand the romantic history of port wine)."

Given that this dream will likely never come to fruition for me, I thought it might be fun to try my hand at recreating the bachelor dates for us folks at home. Do I have unlimited access to the deep and magical pockets of ABC? Surely not. But can I bring the romance to spice up a Monday evening with your best friends, coworkers or significant other? I think so.

To kick off the season (and because I can't afford a limo for each of you), there are a few essentials that every viewing-party host will need:

1. For your friends, enemies and frenemies - whomever is in the lead at the end of each night earns a Rose!

2. Lets face it, we may need a drink at the end of the episode too, ladies (and gents) ... Champagne Glass toasts, anyone?:

Drinks for All! (click to see)

3. And while choosing our winners, to remind us that love comes in many forms, sometimes in Rhyming Poems!

Looking forward to episode 2 tonight, stay tuned! We'll be back in a few days with how to recreate tonight's first one on one date!
